The content listed below is not fully accessible due to non-compliance with EN 301 549 and WCAG 2.1 AA standards:
- Zoom functionality – The website does not currently support pinch-to-zoom at twice the standard.
- Missing skip links – Pages do not include hidden skip links, which would allow keyboard and screen reader users to bypass repetitive blocks (e.g., menu) and go directly to key content areas.
- Language switcher – Does not have a descriptive alt text indicating it functions as a language switcher.
- Screen reader can skip some of the links
- Zoom breaks layout – Enlarging text (e.g., 200%) causes layout issues on certain pages.
- Contrast setting affects logo visibility – Switching to high contrast mode may cause the logo to disappear.
- Inconsistent screen reader compatibility – Screen reader behavior may vary depending on the tool being used; in some cases, it does not work correctly.

While we are committed to addressing accessibility issues, certain improvements present a disproportionate burden due to technical complexity, third-party dependencies, or significant resource requirements. These include:
- Full screen reader compatibility across all devices and tools, due to varying behavior among screen reader technologies.
- Dynamic layout fixes for all zoom/responsive scenarios, particularly on older devices or uncommon screen resolutions.
- Real-time updates or fixes for third-party services (e.g., ticketing systems or embedded widgets) that are not directly managed or developed by us.
- Parts of this website rely on a third-party service provider to manage ticketing for the Museum of Illusions. While we strive to ensure an accessible experience across our platform, we do not have full control over the accessibility of external systems or components provided by third parties.
- After careful assessment, adapting the third-party ticketing solution to meet full accessibility requirements would currently impose a disproportionate burden on our organization, both technically and financially. We continue to engage with the service provider to encourage accessibility improvements and are actively exploring alternative solutions that meet accessibility standards without compromising the overall functionality and user experience.
We are actively working to improve accessibility and will continue to make updates where feasible.
